Ignoring Pain and Happiness
The door is barred
Happiness is inside
The storm rages
Should I try to hide?
I just cant get there
Cant get inside
Do I accept life as it is
How can I decide?
I count my blessings,
What I have in Christ
The scales are heavy
But my feelings aint right.
My assets in Christ
Are because of Him
I’m spiritually prosperous
But my pain’s still within.
They say just decide to be happy
I think there’s something to that,
No one else decides our attitudes
But ignoring the pain’s not where it’s at.
